We were not sure where to eat – we were heading north for shopping. We checked the TripAdvisor and saw this place. This is #1. Great food, great atmosphere and great location! Very reasonable prices, especially for lunch. If you are near… come in. You will not regret – we certainly will not!

Ferndale: a trap for flies

The Fly Trap is a great place to have lunch (breakfast + lunch). The menu items include beef-dressed red flannel hash, green eggs and ham, and daily boiled muffins. In fact, the restaurant was shown on Diners, Drive-Ins and Diving, Food Network Show. It turns out that the small restaurant cooks good food at a reasonable price.

Northville: Rebecca’s family restaurant

Where there is smoke, there is fire. Where there is a line of people before entering the restaurant, there is either free food or a really good menu. Well, The Original Pancake House does not give it to any imagination, but their breakfast recipes of the third generation redefine the meal.

Mudgie’s

Just a good breakfast in Madgie yesterday. The patio is very nice and at this time of year, and the staff, from the hosts, our waiter, Evan and every food runner who came. This place is a pearl. They have found the right combination of excellent food, quality staff and amazing public, which largely guarantees that every visit is a pleasure. I like this place very much.

A longtime local favourite, the restaurant Pantry is family-owned and run, has a welcoming atmosphere and is famous for its breakfast, especially its Apple Pancakes.

West Bloomfield: Shangri La Chinese Restaurant

Shangri-La Restaurant serves dim sum or “Chinese brunch”. It is one of the few restaurants in the Metro Detroit area that offers it. Dim Sum is a kitchen characterized by small plates or “meals” that include steamed or roasted dumplings and other snacks. The table service is fast and efficient for a late breakfast, which starts at 11 am. The price per person is very reasonable.

Across the metro area: IHOP

Sometimes it is easy to dissolve the national network, but IHOP always makes breakfast. It changes its menu by adding new breakfast mixes, serves a cup of hot coffee and offers the best traditional pancake recipe. The menu includes omelets, sandwiches for breakfast, pancakes and stuffed French toast. People on the western side of the Metro Detroit area have the longest distance to find the IHOP: Middlebelt location in Livonia.
